SCHEME FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF COMMUNITY COUNCILS The guidance information, provided by the North Lanarkshire Council, as to the formation and to the roles of the Community Council and Councillors, was discussed in detail It was noted that the number of Council members and co-opted members was based on the approximate electorate figure of 1457, which was at October 1999, and obviously out of date. It was agreed however to accept that determining figure for the time being, which allows a maximum of 8 elected members and up to 7 co-opted members (see Section 5). |
